KL Food Hunt 09 Day 3 - Petaling St Chee Cheong Fan

After finished the Ba Ku Teh, it was around 11am, hard to squeeze in another heavy lunch. So I suggest something potential light but tasty.

The same shop which sells the Kim Lian Kee Hokkien Mee at night, is selling Chee Cheong Fan in morning till noon. I made the decision to eat this, and gladly I did.

Chee Cheong Fan is quite a normal dish, in the sense that you can find it in many places. However, the way it is being prepared vary from Singapore to Johor, KL and Penang. Remember the Penang style Chee Cheong Fan which is close to here but served with prawn paste? I also tried the Anson Chee Cheong Fan which has the turnip inside.

So, this version of the Chee Cheong Fan is a little bit different. The Chee Cheong Fan is chop into thin stride and serve with the usual sauce and chilli.

Petaling St Chee Cheong Fan. The fan is in thin strip and surrounded by sauce and chilli. The sesame is on top. I am surprised how good it is! Really. The fan comes with a little of oil and is soft. You dip a little bit of sauce and chili, it is quite satisfying.

This post would be the last for KL Food Hunt 09 series. Overall, it was a good trip.
